After watching this video, I looked at all of the pictures of Gebran I have and watched all the videos, some of them where taken when he was alive and some at his funeral, in one of the pictures a guy was holding a sign saying: Dik L Nahar 2a2wa minkone ya Kleb l Ba3ess, Gebran was stronger and more patriotic then all those morons they call leaders and the countries controlling them, Patriotism was so simple for him and wasn't part of the political "games" and you can see that in all of his speeches and articles, Loving Lebanon was the most important thing for him and all the other political stuff where not important if they could harm Lebanon. That's why they killed him!
eliedh,
And that's why March 14th was born dear. It wasn't cz of politician asking (rather yet, ordering) poeple to go in the streets, it was a protest, a huge protest against all the injustice Liban went through all these years. The politician just followed people's wish.
Gebran once said : "Never doubt March 14th. Doubt the politicians, point fingers at their faces when they are wrong, but never question March 14th's spirit. It was you, the youth of this beloved country, who made March 14th, and it is up to you to keep the torch alive"
I owe Gebran all the love and hope I have for Liban. I owe him the will inside me to keep fighting for a better Liban.
Maybe they were able to kill him, but they will NEVER EVER be able to silence him; for he will always be alive in us. Glad bless his pure soul.....
Dik el nahar indeed, and also sharper mind and pen than all who still write in the Nahar.
Tremendous loss for the nation.
