Your heart beats are getting faster and stronger, as you are walking in the middle of no where...
You have no idea what to do, and you're trying your best to stay calm...
You have this weird feeling that someone is following you....
You keep turning around every now and then, and you can't help but to feel worried...
You try to walk faster, hoping your fear would fade away...
But you're still hearing the steps behind you...
Now you are really afraid, and you feel you're totally helpless...
At the corner, you see people standing...
You finally feel a little bit relieved...
You run towards them and ask them for help...
As you approach them, they start beating you up!
You keep screaming and asking for help...but your helpless shouts are fading in the nights...
And all you can hear is their laughter getting louder and louder...
They are raping you, one at a time, with no mercy...
You are being called with the worst names you can ever imagine...
You're still fighting back...but you're loosing hope...
And before you know it, you pass out
One hour later...You woke up...half naked...full of bruises... full of fear...
You stand up, and try to run away... you run as much as you can...
Finally, you manage to get out of there...
You think the nightmare is over, but you are wrong, it has just begun...
People are blaming you now!
"What were you doing there?" "Why where you there alone?"
"It's your fault!" "What have you done to them to do this to you?"
And no matter what you say, it has become your fault! And you are to blame...
It's just the beginning, to a very long endless nightmare...

This story was inspired by a friend of mine, who suffered from sexual harassment. This is only the tip of the ice berg!
To all you reading this, if you ever suffered, or you know some one who had suffered from sexual harassment, please don't hesitate to e-mail me your experience, How did you feel then, what did you do about, and how is it affecting you now...
Let's make the whole world listen! The worst thing to do is NOT to talk about it. We should talk, and we should point out, so that others won't have to suffer like lots of us had suffered before.
This is an open invitation, and I hope to see your stories in the near future, and I'll make sure to post them on this blog. The idea is to bring awareness to this horrible behavior, that has been rising dramatically in the Arab World, and all what we are doing to just shut up and hide in shame......

I think it's a horrible nightmare.. I'm always afraid from the idea of being a victim of sexual harassment (khssoussi I’m a girl). Sexual harassment is the worsest crime in the history, it's even worse than war.. since the victim live the rest of his/her life fighting his fear from being socially rejected, in addition the act of harassment is always in the mind of victim to reminds him/her of what happened..

First I want to express my appreciation for posting the above post: its a topic pathetically ignored by all people in the middle east, rich and poor, of every religion, extremist or moderate: and I honestly dont know why (but when you see the Saudi system, you get an idea why I guess).
But Failasoof I have a bone to pick with you again about your political comments (which reminds me, you are still to reply to my final posting on the post you listed regarding the comments of your friends regarding sunnis - I though I made a good effort and which appreciate your reply - surely you have finished your exam ha ha ha)
My concern secifically is with the comment you made on that Mustapha (the bigot - honestly he is, I dont think I have viewed a more negative, racist, offensive and narrow-minded blogger in the whole of lebanon apart from 'Rampurple' of course). I am referring to your posting regarding Nasrallah's last speech.
I still think you do not appreciate, due to presuming your young age, the difference between a politician or leader with brains (eg Nasrallah, Gaegae and Gemyael) and one who does not (Hairi, Aoun and Jumblatt come to mind). I lived through the civil war, and I camn assure you the only way you can survive if it was to be repeated (inshallah no) is to examine a 'potential' enemy and you potential 'friend'.
Please note I am speaking from a chrsitian point of view (and I am assuming you are as well or maybe Druze as I gathered your chrisitan friends would not degrade sunnis if your one yourself - if you dont mind what is your confession to make sure I dont offend you, please I mean no harm).
Though, as I have mentioned many times HA is plain worng and increasingly militant and extremist (especially with sunni-shiite tensions), I have never for a second doubted that Nasrallah is the most cunning, calculating and honestly moderate islamic leader in lebanon, and nowhere is more proof of this than two things: he is allied with a chrsitian whom he sincerley helped strengthen. Also, the fact that his men never took revenge on SLA chrsitian member has never stopped earning him chrsitian respect, if only in that matter. Notably, the fact that he pblicly states he will NOT be pulled into a civil war is a god-send! This has every sunni, chrsitian and Druze thanking their lucky stars, as well all know the shia, no matter how obstiniate and stubborn they are, are the only unified lebanese group, and possess, unfortunately for us, world class weapons and fit, well- trained men. this is why Aoun beleives if there is a shiite-sunni war, there is a beter chance if shia winning and the notably chrsitians would less-likely face extermination under them than the increasingly moronic, fundemantalist wahabbis unfortuanely present in all lebanon: triploi, beirut and Sida (remember the big-bearded idiot carrying 'Shiek' Saad's picture while the church was burning???). I could jsut imagine that moron Jouzou (famous among us chrsitians for saying in 1983 when he was a happy syrian agent that chrsitians have to accept living under islamic law, even by force) or Eido having the resources, men and weapons HA had: chrsitians would have faced the same fate as in Ira right now.
This has what has earned HA its respect, and why many chrsitians, though part of March 14, have not for asecond trusted Hariri (who infuraites me as no-one more than him and Humblatt were more slaves to Syrian than they: more than HA!!!) especially with church-burnt and the Ain Alaq carried out by extremist sunnis, has sealed our fate nearly. So please think Failasoof carefully about what others may think.

You have to excuse me man for NOT replying to your last reply on the sectarian troubles in Liban. As you can see, I'm not posting as much as I used to, mostly due to a very tight schedule and LOTS of exams, I hope and I know you will understand.
As for me, I'm not offended by your comments, and I will never be. But I hope you will understand that I won't state my sect, mainly because I don't believe in the sectarianism. And you are more than welcomed to consider me Christian, Druze, Sunni or Shiite. I respect all religions, and I don't and will not ever base my judgements nor my posts on sectarian bases.
Regarding what you mentioned that it was proven that "Sunnies were behind the Ain Alaa explosions", i'm afraid you are wrong in that Antoine, it was proven that SSNP members were behind it, and the names are even known.
As for what you said, I judge people upon their behavior and deeds, never upon their own intentions (though I still consider them fir furtue aspects). And so, I really belive that Aoun is making the BIGGEST mistake of his life allying with HA. You see, HA is making the same mistakes that al Kataeb did back in the 70's. It's amazing how history repeats itself. Aoun must relaize that he's just a card HA is using to NOT be accused of sectarianism, and take my word on this, HA will be the last party that will allow Aoun to become a president. And if they ever supported him (which I highly doubt) and he became one, he will be just a card in HA's hands, and once he tries to do soething that they don't agree, they are going to turn on him, and he will stand there alone, and shamefully fall apart.
As for HA repeatative saying that it will not be dragged into a Civil war, please save us the crap! HA only reason for this is that they know very well that engaging into a Civil war will mean the end of their Arsenal ligitimacy (if it has one to begin with), and so HA will be the biggest loser of such war.
As for the south my friend, It wasn't the governments whih neglected the south, it was the Syrian regime orders (with the complete approval of HA and Amal) to inhibit any governmental work there, and let HA build its own netword of services there, so that the common southener believe that the government is neglecting him, and it is HA which actuallly resresents the true government. May I remind you that during the Syrian occupation, a minister was NOT allowed to go to the south without HA's permission!!!
As for the four generals, NO one can claim they are innocent, and just defending them is as low as anyone can get. They are criminals, who are responsible for most of the crimes against the Lebanese during the Syrian Era in Liban. So when Nasrallah defend them, then he is defending corruption, and in my eyes, he becomes no better than any one of them!
As for the israelis, they never wanted to fnish HA, let's face facts here, you can never get rid of a militia that uses civilan buildings to lunch rockets on you. Such militias can never be eliminated, you can "contain" them, and that was Israel main objective, and they were MORE than successful in that. HA actually now is UNABLE to atack Israel, NOT even in Shebaa farms, and right now, HA is more busy fighting its fellow Lebanese, so Israel got what it wanted from the war, and YES, they were victorious.
As for extrimists Sunnies, you should know that such groups are hated by the majority of Sunnies. Living in Tripoli, I know that for a fact. And believe me, as much as you hate Hariri, but he is much much much better than the extrimists that we all REJECT.
Things are like that, you can't reduce Shiites in HA, you can't reduce Christians in Aoun, and you certainly can't reduce Sunnies in Extrimists. So it would be better to support Sunnies that are moderate and believe in bulding a secular state (Hariri, Safadi, Mikati, Seniora) based on economic power, than to support ideological pasrties (HA, Ta7reer party, Islamic Jama3a) which seek to establish its own Islamic state.
If such parties gain sate power, then my friend you can kiss Liban goodbye, and welcome a lovely version of Iran, Afghanistan or Somalia in the Islamic Trials Era). Which Liban you think Christian can live in? Not to mention Druze and moderate Muslims, regardeless Sunnies they are or Shiites.
True! Hariri and Jumblatt were Syrain servants, but so were HA, SSNP, Marada, Baath and the list is too long. But at least Hariri and Jumblatt changed their policy, and what they are calling for nowadays is what Sheikh Bachir spent his life calling for, so who would you support or be ally of? Hariri and Jumblatt, or the rest who are still servants of a foreign regime?
Only an International Tribunal can protect us, moderate Lebanese who eants to live in asecular Liban. Only such Tribunal can PREVENT more assassination. And so, even if the Devil itself supported it, I'll be on the Devil's side....
