lira, Both of them Gebran and Bachir shared the same vision for Liban. In case you are NOT aware of that, you should read Gebran's editorial on October 25th, 1982 and you will understand.
Anonymous, The most horrible thing we do in Liban is "partial-biased-judgment".
Name one political figure out of these (Jeajea, Berri. Jumblatt, HA, Aoun,...etc) whose gun wasn't abused during the ugly war.
Stop referring to the ugly war and what happened in it, unless you are ready to issue judgments on EACH and EVERY abuser.
Bachir symbolized a hope for an independent Liban, and Tueni worked his whole life demanding an independent Liban. This is something both MARTYRS shared, and it is something that we should all look after, forgetting our narrow-minded short-term calculations.....
I am ready to issue judgments on EACH and EVERY abuser.
My argument still stands.

ps: failasoof, I really do not appreciate your under-the-table fancy big words like whatever you've used in your replies for those criticizing BG in order to polish the latter's image; if there is anything that makes you think that I have (and I quote) a "narrow-minded short-term calculation", please say so; otherwise I wonder why did you use that in your comment?

We already feel a gap cause by this huge person. May he rest in Peace.
With all due respect, but Gemayel and Tueni do not belong to the same category, one used his gun and abused it, the other used his pen.

having the same vision means nothing if the execution of the vision entailed, as lira1500 put it, using his gun and abusing it.

I'm comparing Tueni and Gemayel. Unless of course by your comment you're implying that Tueni also abused a gun ...
And I have issued judgement on the names you've mentioned.
Forgetting the war is the first step to repeating it.
