I know how hard it is to see such atrocities in the place you call home, where you thought your security wouldn't be violated as such... I can only say I feel with you brother. As u know, I was there during the Verdun blast, and the shock I felt was not right at the moment, but after I got home, and had time to think and analyze what could've happened, the Worst Case Scenario... It's not right to have your safety and your life violated this way, day by day. The Human Right Charts declares I have the right for security, not to be harmed or threatened in any way. How is this translated? Why do these rights apply to some people, and not to a whole country like Lebanon, who is hit and bombarded, plagued with uncertainty, menace, destruction and instabiltiy? Worst of all... is there anybody out there with a listening ear?
What's going on in your beautiful country breaks my heart. When two people disagree to that extent, then I guess it was a power struggle all along. Though it is a lot less murderous where I live... More or less, people hate people everywhere. Innocents getting killed in irrelevant struggles and on daily basis... and normal people crying their hearts out in sorrow over people they lost or for what's going on around them. I just hate human stupidity! I seriously wonder, where we're going!
Rawan, Thank God you are safe and wasn't harmed. Guess this is the max we can hope for nowadays in Liban! But you know what they say: "eza ma kebret, mabten7al" "if it doesn't reach the max, it won't be solved". And as a dear friend of mine puts it, I think we have reached the "Grand finale".
deeeeeee, thanks for your honest feelings. Hope you will never have to suffer what we are suffering lately. Stay safe :)
